this project involves the convincing portrayal of three objects (one light, one heavy, and one living) that fall from a starting position and land with impact, and which requires skill in the depiction of materiality, seamless shot continuity, and fluid movement. all of the animation principles are at work, here.
Criteria for 3 Falling Objects:
• believable
physicality for each object and convincing use of animation principles:
acceleration/deceleration, squash and stretch/volume, perspective, arcs, line
of action, acting?
• visual
continuity coherence: effective staging, exits and entrances, pauses, screen
direction, shot selection, cuts? Favor movement over longer sequence
storytelling.
• keys and
breakdowns represent storytelling moments and are timed out to timing charts?
• animation is
full and fluid, with coherent arcs and timing that gives a sense of weight?
•
secondary action completed as a second pass: follows the principal motion, is
fully realized
